And don’t you know, while he twisted a lock of my hair around his forefinger, he leaned toward me, right there in the restaurant, and brushed his lips across mine.

It was as though I’d put my finger in an electrical outlet. Tingles shot through my every pore. And while I knew I was supposed to hate the guy, something made me lean toward him for more.

God, I was in trouble.

“C’mon,” Luca said, grabbing me by the arm.

I tried to pull away. “Where are we going? What the hell is going on?”

We headed toward the library, or should I say, the guys headed for the library and dragged me along. Leo pushed open the doors for Luca and me and locked them once we were inside.

He strolled toward me, opening his tie the way guys do when they pull them off over their heads. He threw his suit jacket on the back of a chair and began to unbutton the cuffs of his expensive white dress shirt, his fingers crunching over the starchy cotton. The whole time, watching me.
